Microsoft say it will not decrease the fee of Xbox 360 Live service by Douglas Johnson
Facing the financial crises, consumers want to decrease their spending. But business owners make their double efforts to attract the purchasing power. Although Microsoft has not plan to readjust the sale Price Of Xbox 360 currently, they are confident in making their products attractive to those families pursuing thrifty life.
Aaron Greenberg, the manager for MS Xbox 360’s product department, received reporter’s interview recently. He said, “I think all of us have not expected such flinty economic situation at the moment. But it is very lucky that we can lower the sale prices of our products and provide a worthy choice to the customers who are more captious in this difficult time. Now the time when people stay in home is longer, and people pay more attention to family’s products than the past. They need those products that can provide comprehensive entertainment services.
He continued to add, “I think that the advantage of our price makes us occupy huge advantages. In fact, it help us a lot that the sale price of Arcade edition Xbox 360 is cheaper than Wii. We will keep this price advantage and provide more worthy services.”
But there is something that remain a pity: although the price of Xbox 360 has been the cheapest in this generation’s game machines, but the price of service of Xbox Live has never lowered down. Greenberg said that Microsoft has not a plan to lower down the charging standard of Xbox Live. He thought that $8 monthly for a gold member is very economical.
He said, “I think most of people are willing to pay this sum of money to get the top grade experiences. If we compare Live to other online services like PS Home, there is huge difference between them. I think Home is just like a copy of Second Life which has not experience and can’t invite more people to participate in it. It is seen as being much creative originally. In fact, we have done this many years ago. We feel that we are looking back the technology in 2005 while we are now in 2009.I think nobody will be interested in it.
